Bigg Boss 20 Episode 42 brought intense confrontations, emotional revelations and a task that put contestants’ loyalties to the test. Host Salman Khan addressed the housemates over their behaviour, reminding them about discipline and the consequences of losing their temper. He questioned Aasif about his treatment of Love and criticised Aman for his interaction with Nakul, while Qazi also faced questions over his actions towards Scout. Salman further shared a personal family experience while discussing regrets and strained relationships. The Compass of Convenience task added to the tension as contestants called out those they believed changed their stance for personal gain.
The episode began with Salman Khan addressing the audience and discussing Nakul’s eviction from the Bigg Boss 20 house for breaking the rules. He later greeted the contestants and tested Arishfa Khan’s mathematical skills. Salman also congratulated Scout on becoming the captain and told Mary Kom that her performance had been noticed that week.
Salman then teased Manish, jokingly asking him to raise his legs if he wanted to speak the next time. He asked the contestants to applaud themselves for handling the situations inside the house well. When they appeared suspicious, he reassured them that they had nothing to worry about. Salman praised Gullu for the way he handled the situation involving Nakul. He also reminded the housemates that violence was not permitted and stressed the importance of maintaining discipline.
During the conversation, Aasif Khan opened up about his past and recalled how his elder brother had taken care of the family before him. He shared an incident in which he had argued with his brother and raised his hand against him. Aasif apologised to his brother through the show.
Salman told Aasif that he might not have carried the regret for so long if he had apologised the following day. He then shared a personal experience involving his own family. Salman revealed that his grandfather had initially opposed his mother’s marriage to his father because his father worked in the acting industry. His grandfather had not spoken to his parents for five years and had only resumed communication after Sohail Khan was born. Salman added that his grandfather had eventually apologised to his father and regretted remaining silent for so many years.
Salman announced that the contestants would have to face complaints about their behaviour. He questioned Qazi Touqeer over allegedly spitting in Scout’s ear. Qazi denied actually spitting in Scout’s ear and claimed that his remark had been intended as a joke. Scout and Yung also shared their perspectives on the incident.
Salman reminded Qazi that such behaviour was childish and challenged his justification. He also asked Gullu whether he would have handled the situation differently if given another chance. Gullu admitted that he would have controlled his language better. Qazi was further questioned for not taking a stand for Mahi when she needed his support. Salman also questioned the contestants about Love approaching Nakul. Aasif explained that he had become angry because he felt Love was shouting at him, but Salman clarified that she had only been trying to explain her perspective.
Love said Aasif had nominated her before, yet she had never nominated him. Most contestants agreed that Aasif’s behaviour towards her had been wrong, while Yung defended his decision not to raise his hand. Towards the end, Salman revealed that Uditi had received the fewest votes but said he would talk about it on Sunday (October 18). Bigg Boss 20 airs every day on JioHotstar at 9 pm and Colors TV at 10:30 pm.
