Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie King is one of the most awaited films of the year. Reports are doing the rounds that SRK’s King is slated to release in theatres on December 24, with the makers looking to cash in on the Christmas holiday period.
King will reportedly face a box-office clash with the Hollywood films Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three, both of which are scheduled to release in the same month. Meanwhile, two other films are also lined up for a December 24 release: Dwayne Johnson-led Jumanji: Open World and Nagarjuna Akkineni’s King100.
The film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. King also marks the reunion of SRK and Deepika Padukone. Expectations are riding high, especially for the popular on-screen pairing. The duo have previously shared the screen in Jawan, Pathaan, Chennai Express, Happy New Year and Om Shanti Om, with several of these films emerging as major box-office successes.
Abhishek Bachchan will be seen in the antagonist role, while the film is directed by Siddharth Anand. Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan will also be seen in a key role.
