Ramayana: Part 1, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, will explore the early chapters of the timeless Indian epic. The story follows Rama’s journey from his early life and marriage to Sita to their sudden 14-year exile in the forest. As they navigate the challenges of life away from the kingdom, the threat posed by Ravana gradually intensifies. The film will build towards the pivotal moment of Sita’s abduction, setting the stage for the larger conflict that unfolds in the second instalment. Designed as a two-part cinematic epic, the film aims to combine grand visuals with emotional storytelling.

While Ranbir plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi and Yash will be seen as Sita and Ravana. Ravi Dubey will play Laxman. The film will hit theatres on November 5, 2026.
