Mirzapur The Movie Box Office Collection Day 1: Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal Film Creates Bhaukaal, Earns Rs 24 Crore

Mirzapur: The Movie brought back a wave of nostalgia for the ardent fans. The Amazon Prime Video series was turned into a big-screen spectacle for the audience. And guess what? The Gurmmeet Singh directorial seems to have lived up to everyone's expectations. Starring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu in key roles, the movie was theatrically released on September 4, 2026. It opened to positive feedback from critics and masses alike. Mirzapur: The Movie's day one box office report is in and the film has passed the opening day test with flying colours.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Mirzapur: The Movie earned a whopping Rs 24.75 crore on day one of its theatrical release. The earnings came from 11,129 shows that were held on the day of its release. While the Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal movie collected Rs 24.60 crore in Hindi, it added Rs 15 lakh in Telugu.

That said, the India gross collection of this Gurmmeet Singh movie stands at Rs 29.70 crore. With Mirzapur: The Movie creating bhaukaal at box office on opening day, it remains to be seen how it further performs at the ticket window.

Meanwhile, Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar shared his review of Mirzapur: The Movie on social media. Taking to his Instagram stories, he wrote, "Mirzapur is a solid, Kadak, masaledar ride! I love the series and I thoroughly enjoyed the film!!!!" He added that all epic characters shine and make way for the new ones with aplomb. The director mentioned that even the ones who haven't seen the series, will love the film.

Before Mirzapur: The Movie was released, Shweta Tripathi attributed the franchise's expansion to its fans. "This has happened because of fans’ love. The movie is like a thank you, hug and appreciation to them because how else do we tell them that we love them and are grateful for the love they have given us. Guddu Bhaiyya and Golu Didi have become household names. We want them to enjoy the new ras and the flavour of the movie," she told ETV Bharat.

Talking about the film, it has been produced by Excel Entertainment and Amazom MGM Studios. It features Pankaj as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali as Guddu Pandit, Divyenndu as Munna Tripathi, Rasika Dugal as Beena Tripathi, Shweta as Golu Gupta, and more.
