Jharkhand to Introduce AI-Powered Platform Across 80 CM Schools of Excellence; 24x7 Personalised Academic Support

The Jharkhand government is introducing an AI-powered learning platform Prepzy.ai in schools across Jharkhand. This initiative focuses on the state-run 80 CM Schools of Excellence to provide students with personalised academic support beyond school hours.

According to the PTI report, the platform is the brainchild of former state health secretary Shivendu, who is now an associate professor at the University of South Florida, and former state education secretary Mridula Sinha. It has been showcased before principals, wardens and school managers of all 80 CM Schools of Excellence.

The Jharkhand Education Project Council said that the orientation programme, organised under the Department of School Education and Literacy focuses on a structured board-readiness plan for Classes 9 to 12.

Prepzy.ai has been built for the CBSE and NCERT curriculum students for classes 6 to 12. The platform brings 75 courses together, along with over 5,200 video lectures and 2.5 lakh practice questions, previous year board question papers of the previous 5 years or more and 24x7 AI tutoring.

What distincts this platform is that it does not require any additional hardware or school-level licence. It allows the government schools to introduce personalised digital academic support without significant infrastructure requirements.

During the orientation, school leaders were taught about the operation of the platform to practice competency-based questions, identify weak areas and strengthen conceptual understanding. The AI tutor is designed to respond to students' questions in real time, explain concepts and provide step-by-step guidance.

"Our goal is simple. We want every student across these 80 schools walking into the boards prepared and confident," said Sankalp Tiwari, Deputy Manager, Strategic Initiatives at GlobusLearn.

Prepzy.ai is a product of GlobusLearn Services India Private Limited and is backed by three former Jharkhand civil servants, which include former health secretary Dr Shivendu, former education secretary Sinha and former chief secretary Sudhir Tripathi.

According to the founders, their experience in government exposed them to the persistent gap between students' aspirations and the academic resources available to them, especially in rural and economically disadvantaged communities.

Shivendu said the platform was conceived with the objective of enabling a child studying in a government school in a remote area to access academic guidance comparable to that available to students in better-resourced private schools.

The AI platform combines interactive lessons, assessments, personalised practice, CBSE-style mock examinations, previous-year question papers, digital notes and performance tracking. At the same time, it also analyses students' learning patterns to identify conceptual gaps and provide targeted academic support.

Parents and teachers can also track student progress through dedicated dashboards. Further, to improve accessibility, Mathematics and Science content is being made available in Hindi and other regional languages, according to the founders.

The wider orientation programme featured addresses by School Education Secretary Umashankar Singh and CBSE Ranchi Regional Officer Ramveer, besides expert sessions on CBSE governance, board readiness and the School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework.
