iPhone 18 Pro vs iPhone 17 Pro: 5 Upgrades You Should Expect

Apple is expected to launch its iPhone 18 Pro series next month. The iPhone maker could bring significant changes to its iPhone 18 Pro this year, compared to its predecessor, according to many leaks. While the company has not officially confirmed the details, a growing number of leaks suggest upgrades across the camera, modem, battery and more. Here is everything we expect from the iPhone 18 Pro.

One of the biggest changes may involve the main camera. Apple has regularly improved its camera system, but major hardware changes to the primary sensor are less common.

According to recent information shared by leaker Fixed Focus Digital, the iPhone 18 Pro could feature a significantly larger main camera setup. The camera area on the back may become more than 2mm thicker because of the enlarged module.

The change could be linked to several camera improvements, including a variable aperture system. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has also previously suggested that the iPhone 18 Pro lineup could receive some of its most significant camera hardware upgrades yet.

Another important change could be hidden inside the phone. Apple is reportedly preparing to use its second-generation in-house 5G modem, known as the C2, in the iPhone 18 Pro. The C2 modem is expected to improve power efficiency and network performance. It could also introduce features such as more control over precise location sharing.

Battery life may also see a major improvement. The combination of Apple's upcoming A20 Pro chip and the C2 modem is expected to help the iPhone 18 Pro models deliver longer battery life. The iPhone 18 Pro Max could benefit the most. Reports suggest that its physical battery may be around 10 per cent larger than the previous generation, potentially giving users even more time between charges.
