Chiranjeevi Plans World’s Largest Cinema Screens in Hyderabad?

After Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun, Asian Cinemas is reportedly teaming up with Megastar Chiranjeevi for a major cinema venture in Hyderabad. The collaboration is said to be aimed at creating what could be the world’s largest operating cinema screens.

The ambitious project is reportedly planned at a premium property in Hyderabad’s Financial District. With Hyderabad increasingly being regarded as one of India’s major cinema hubs, the proposed venture is expected to offer a high-end movie-watching experience with state-of-the-art technology and facilities.

The theatre chain could reportedly be branded Asian Chiranjeevi Cinemas (ACC) or Asian Megastar Cinemas (AMC), although the final name has not been confirmed.

Currently, Traumpalast Leonberg in Germany holds the Guinness World Record for the largest operating cinema screen. Its screen measures approximately 127 feet wide and 69 feet tall, covering around 8,770 square feet. The auditorium has a capacity of 574 recliners and features IMAX dual-laser technology.

If the Hyderabad project goes ahead as reported, Asian Cinemas and Chiranjeevi could be looking to surpass that benchmark and create a landmark cinema destination in the city.

On the work front, Chiranjeevi is awaiting the release of Kaaka and Viswambhara next year. He is also set to collaborate with director Srikanth Odela for an upcoming film.
