After much anticipation, Bigg Boss 20 finally arrived on September 6. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan returned as the host, adding star power to the show. This season, the theme of BB is Tathastu, where the contestants will get extra jeevan daan. Television actress Kanika Mann was introduced as the first Bigg Boss 20 contestant, while Panchayat fame Aasif Khan entered the BB 20 house as the second contestant. Salman Khan kickstarted the Bigg Boss 20 episode with an epic performance. The Bollywood superstar danced to some of the iconic tracks from his hit Hindi films. The reality show pulled off the epic moves, leaving audiences impressed with his dance skills and energy.

Mary Kom, Aasif Khan, Kanika Mann, ScoutOp (Tanmay Singh), Amrapali Dubey, Mahhi Vij, Yung DSA, Qazi Touqeer, Arishfa Khan, Rohed Khan, Isha Rikhi, Gullu (Kushal Tanwar), Rhiti Tiwari, Uditi Singh, Aman Gandhi, Lovepreet Kaur Gill (Love Gill) were introduced as the confirmed contestants of BB 20.

Actress Isha Rikhi broke down while reflecting on a tough phase of her life after her separation from Indian rapper/singer Badshah. While interacting with Salman, Isha said she is much more than what people currently know her for.

Without directly naming Badshah, BB 20 host Salman advised actress Isha to move on. The Bollywood superstar said, "Move on Isha, because the agli party has moved on long time ago. Nobody should get the credit of hurting you emotionally."

Legendary boxer Mary Kom got a special message from Priyanka Chopra Jonas on Bigg Boss 20. The actress, who featured in the boxer's biopic, gave a major shoutout to her. She even warned other BB 20 contestants to beware of Mary's knockout.

Actresses Love Gill and Rhiya Ahir were pitted against each other in Fans Ka Faisla. However, Love got the maximum number of votes, and became one of the 16 contestants of BB 20. On the other hand, Rhiya lost an opportunity to be a BB 20 contestant.

Manoj Tiwari made a special appearance on Bigg Boss 20 as his daughter Rhiti Tiwari entered the show. On stage, Salman brought back the viral 'baap pe mat jaana' phrase, referring to Dolly Bindra's remark to Manoj. Taking a hilarious dig at the actor, Salman advised Rhiti not to fight over eggs on the show.
