Shraddha Kapoor’s much-anticipated horror comedy sequel Stree 2 released on August 15, 2024. The gang featuring Pankaj Tripathi, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurrana were back with the actress playing the titular role.
It’s been four months since the release, and in a recent conversation with Aaj Tak, Kapoor revealed that she has signed three films following the phenomenal success of Stree 2.
She said, “2-3 filmein maine confirm ki hain, lekin officially abhi tak announce nahi ki hain. (I have confirmed 2-3 films, but they haven’t been officially announced yet.)”
While the actress enjoys a massive fandom who were thrilled to hear this latest update, there was also a section of people who trolled her for her acting skills.
Comments like “koi nahi acting sab me same hi milegi” to “Shraddha be like – Paisa hi paisa hoga“, and “She may not be a good actress but she definitely is an entertainer. An amazing dancer. Most of her films have done well. She has made her name for herself in the masses. If only she improves her acting”—populated the comments section under the Reddit thread.
Some fans speculated about what her next film might be.
One person mentioned that her next film could be with Kartik Aaryan in his upcoming Dharma production, while another speculated it could be Krrish 4.
Back in August 2024, there was a buzz of Shraddha being a part of Krrish 4. However, a close source told Bollywood Hungama, that all rumours about the casting are untrue.
The statement read, ‘Krrish 4 is India’s most ambitious superhero film in the making, and the pre-production work for the film is in full force. The creative team is currently putting the final touches on the script. All casting rumours surrounding the film are untrue. We haven’t even begun the casting process yet.’
While the speculations continue, all eyes are now on Shraddha Kapoor and the official announcement of her next film title.
