Varun Dhawan’s Baby John will open in theatres on December 25. Directed by Kalees, the film also features Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi and Jackie Shroff. The makers recently announced that fans can avail the advance booking window for Baby John.

As per a report by Sacnilk, Baby John has collected Rs 67.86 crore without block seats. The report also added that over 21,000 tickets have been sold for the opening day across India.

Baby John is a joint production by Atlee, his wife Priya, Murad Khetani, and Jyoti Deshpande under the banners of Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, Vipin Agnihotri Films and A for Apple Productions.

Baby John will be facing tough competition from Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, which is creating history in terms of box office numbers.

When asked about the impending big clash, Atlee said that he was not concerned.

Speaking at a press meet, Atlee said, “It’s an ecosystem. Me and Allu Arjun sir are very good friends. We’re releasing Baby John in the fourth week of December, not head-to-head. So don’t call it a clash. There’s no conflict here. We’re aware that Pushpa 2 shifted from August to December, and we’ve planned our release around Christmas. We’re all professionals, and we know how to handle this.”

Atlee added, “He (Allu Arjun) congratulated me about the film and spoke to Varun. There’s great friendship and love in this ecosystem.”

Pushpa 2 has already surpassed Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, Pathaan, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2′s gigantic box office collections to become the highest-grossing film of the year.

Baby John is a remake of the 2016 Tamil action thriller Theri. Varun Dhawan plays the role of a police officer and single father in the movie.
