Director Sangeeth Sivan, best known for Malayalam hit Yoddha and Hindi films Kya Kool Hain Hum and Apna Sapna Money Money, died at a hospital here on Wednesday after a cardiac arrest. He was 65. His cinematographer-brother Santosh Sivan confirmed Sangeeth’s death to PTI via a WhatsApp message. According to Santosh, Sangeeth was admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and died following a cardiac arrest. A 48-year-old businessman – a coaching class owner in Maharashtra’s Thane district – was cheated of more than Rs 1.88 crore in a share trading scam that started with the membership of a WhatsApp group, police said today. As per the complainant, an unidentified person added him to the WhatsApp group ‘STOCK Vanguard (F)’ in March, said an official. With no resolution in sight for the “mass leave” crisis being faced by the airline, Air India Express CEO Aloke Singh has written to employees and said that the number of flights being operated will be reduced over the next few days. Since Tuesday night, the airline has had to cancel over 90 flights after 300 senior cabin crew members reported sick at the last minute and then switched off their cellphones.
