A 14-year-old girl in California has been charged with the murder of the daughter of a human trafficking non-profit’s CEO. As per Independent, the unidentified teen was named the suspect in the March 21 shooting of Kendra Reana McIntyre. The 20-year-old was gunned down while walking in a part of South Los Angeles known for sex work and human trafficking. She was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead, police said. K Krithivasan, the newly appointed chief executive officer and managing director of TCS, took home a pay of over Rs 25 crore in FY24, the company said today. Mr Krithivasan took charge as the head of the country’s largest IT services exporter in June 2023, after the surprising exit of Rajesh Gopinathan. His appointment is for a period of five years. Eight people were killed in an explosion at a fireworks factory near Sivakasi in Tamil Nadu. Twelve others suffered burns, the police said, adding the factory was a licenced unit. The police said they are investigating what led to the explosion. More details are awaited. Sivakasi is known as the fireworks manufacturing hub of India.
