A 20-year-old woman was stabbed to death in Karnataka’s Hubbali, reportedly after she rejected the advances of a neighbour. Anjali Ambigera was sleeping early this morning when 21-year-old Girish Sawant entered her home and allegedly stabbed her repeatedly with a knife. Sawant is now on the run and police are looking for him. Girish, it is learnt, had been pestering Anjali to start a relationship with him, but she had refused. This triggered the attack. Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia’s mother Madhavi Raje Scindia died this morning at AIIMS, Delhi, a source said. She died at 9:28 am and had been on ventilator for the last few days, the source told Press Trust of India. An Indian-origin man, employed in the Singapore Air Force, was on Wednesday sentenced to 11 months in jail for phishing women’s social media login details to get their intimate images. K Eshwaran, 26, pleaded guilty to 10 charges under the Computer Misuse Act. Another 21 charges were considered for sentencing, Channel News Asia reported.
