Five people from one family in a remote Himalayan village voted in today’s phase in their own polling station after officials travelled for seven hours and borrowed a power connection from the military to enable them to cast their ballots. A decades-long UK scandal in which thousands of people died after being treated with infected blood was covered up and largely could have been avoided, according to a bombshell report published Monday.
