Doctors of several hospitals across India have announced an indefinite strike to protest against the gruesome rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital. A man along with three family members allegedly gang-raped a married woman here to avenge the perceived humiliation after his daughter eloped with the victim’s brother, police said on Sunday. The accused, who are from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, also allegedly recorded the act on their mobile phones, they added.
