The makers of Loveyapa dropped a new song titled Kaun Kinna Zaruri Si on Thursday. Featuring Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan, the heartbreak anthem captures the pain of longing and love.
Kaun Kinna Zaroori Si explores the turmoil of separation in the soulful voice of Vishal Mishra. The song is composed by the musical duo Suyyash Rai and Siddharth Singh and the lyrics are written by Dhrruv Yogi.
Sharing a glimpse of the track on Instagram, Khushi Kapoor wrote, “Love, heartbreak and everything in between. #KaunKinnaZaruriSi, SONG OUT NOW.”
Reacting to the song in the comments section, Khushi Kapoor’s sister Janhvi Kapoor wrote, “I hate it when my Khushu cry.” Composer Suyyash Rai said, “Super glad to have done this song for you guys Khushi and Junaid! You all are fab in the film! Love n light.” Khushi’s Loveyapa co-star Jason Tham wrote, “One of my favourite songs.”
Earlier this month, the makers released the Loveyapa trailer on YouTube. It kicks off with a light-hearted and playful tone, showing the undeniable chemistry between the lead characters, Gaurav (Junaid Khan) and Baani (Khushi Kapoor).
The scene sets the stage as Junaid’s character sits with Khushi’s father (Ashutosh Rana) who challenges the couple to exchange their phones and prove the depth of their love. This seemingly innocent request spirals into a dramatic whirlwind of secrets, misunderstandings and shocking revelations.
Directed by Advait Chandan, Loveyapa is a remake of the 2022 Tamil hit Love Today. The film is set to release in theatres on February 7.
