Vicky Kaushal Says Uri: The Surgical Strike "Changed" His Life As The Film Completes 6 Years Of Its Release

Vicky Kaushal recently took a trip down memory lane and reflected on his experience working in Uri: The Surgical Strike, which was released six years ago. He portrayed the role of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill in the film. In an Instagram post, the actor thanked the audience for their immense love and support for his performance in the film. He described it as a project that “changed his life.” He captioned the post, “6 years to the movie that changed my life! Forever grateful for all the love. How’s the Josh?”

Earlier on Saturday, Yami Gautam, who also starred in the film, shared a nostalgic post on Instagram. She wrote, “Uri: The Surgical Strike celebrated more than we can think – the valour of the Indian Army, the spirit of our Nation and the power of cinema. It was an honour for me to be a part of a gem like this which continues to be celebrated. Pallavi Sharma was a dream come true role for me and to be able to portray another fine female character was truly a blessing. Beyond grateful for all your love and to the entire team that helps create this marvel. #6yearsofurithesurgicalstrike.”

Uri: The Surgical Strike, directed by Aditya Dhar, is based on the true events of the Indian Army’s surgical strikes in September 2016 against terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The film also starred Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari and Mohit Raina among others. Vicky Kaushal portrayed the role of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill in the film.
