The Telugu Film Producers Council has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Deputy Chief Minister, K. Pawan Kalyan, Cinematography Minister, K. Durgesh, MLA and prominent film actor Sri Nandamuri Balakrishna, the Chairman of A.P. State Film, TV & Theatre Development Corporation Ltd., P. Bharath Bhushan, and its Managing Director, K.S. Viswanathan, for reviving the 'Nandi Film Awards' which had been pending for the years 2017-2024.
Furthermore, they expressed their thanks for examining the request submitted by A.P. FDC to the Government of Andhra Pradesh in their letter dated 24.09.2026, and for agreeing to revive the Nandi Awards in three categories - Bangaru Nandi, Vendi Nandi and Kamsya Nandi (Golden, Silver & Bronze Nandi). They also expressed their heartfelt thanks for considering the revival of the 'N.T.R. National Film Award' for the years 2017-2024.
The Nandi Film Awards, established since 1964, is an emotional matter for the Telugu film industry and the culture of the Telugu people. Respecting our culture always protects nature, and it contributes to the development of the Telugu states. Therefore, everyone appreciates honouring artists and technicians through the Nandi Film Awards. Hence, the Telugu Film Producers Council stated that they heartily request the Government of Andhra Pradesh / Coalition parties to honour the artists and technicians belonging to the Telugu film industry.
"We are very happy over revival of prestigious Nandi Awards in Andhra Pradesh. It's a celebration time for Tollywood actors and technicians.
