Telangana: Communal Sheeter Booked For Rally, Hate Speech

HYDERABAD: Afzalgunj police registered a case against communal sheeter Laddu Yadav alias Ram Yadav, a local BJYM leader, for wrongful restraint and disobedience of a lawful order after he organised a rally and delivered objectionable speeches without permission.

Afzalgunj SI M. Subash said Yadav erected a stage at Begum Bazar Chatri on August 15 despite rejection of police permission and gathered 1,000–1,500 persons. He was earlier booked for delivering a hate speech targeting a community and conducting a rally through narrow lanes.

On August 15, he also led a rally from Begum Bazar Chatri to the Bhagat Singh statue at Gurudwara, Gowliguda, causing traffic congestion and inconvenience.

AR constable D. Satish recorded the rally and public meeting on his mobile phone as evidence. Police registered crime No. 12 of 2026 under Section 126(2), 223 BNS and took up investigation.

A local woman resident urged the city police commissioner to invoke the PD Act against Yadav, saying Hyderabadi society values “Ganga‑Jamuni tehzeeb” and those spreading communal hatred should be dealt with sternly.
