Imran Khan’s big comeback has hit a massive roadblock.
The actor’s much-awaited Netflix film Adhure Hum Adhure Tum is now in deep trouble, with its promotions and release likely to be deferred after Mumbai Police and FRRO served him a shocking ‘Leave India’ notice.
The drama unfolded after he actively participated in the October 10 protest at Mumbai’s August Kranti Maidan, organised by the GenZ-led Cockroach Janta Party (CJP).
The political storm has directly derailed his return to cinema after 11 long years! While post-production is nearly complete, Netflix has reportedly put all promotional plans on hold till legal clarity emerges. Originally slated for a festive premiere on December 18, 2026, the film is now expected to be indefinitely deferred.
Directed by Danish Aslam, the adult romantic comedy also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Gurfateh Pirzada. The film’s controversial content had already put Netflix on the defensive and this political crisis may have just sealed its fate.
