Late Rahul Arunoday Banerjee Had Relationship With Moumita Pandit? Actress Hits Back At 'Fake Love Story' Allegations
Bengali actress Moumita Pandit reportedly shared an old video of hers with the late Rahul Arunoday Banerjee on WhatsApp status and seemingly confirmed her relationship with him. In a recent interview, the actress-model claimed that she was asked not to talk about her equation with the actor as it could lead to mental harassment. Now, six months after Rahul's demise, she has chosen to talk about it. Following the trolling and dealing with abusive messages, Moumita broke her silence on Facebook. Amid the backlash for her revelation, Pandit claimed that fear made her 'suicidal'.
On Facebook, Moumita said she had to clarify her stand before she, her family and loved ones receive vulgar, cheap market-like comments on social media. Addressing trolls and those who criticised her, she wrote, “You have acted like rascals. But why?” Pandit added, “Those who don't know should not have commented. Those who know and have seen it should have just asked me once.”
She further asked, “Those who had kept me in the dark for so long, after this incident, why didn't they come to know how I am handling it? And those who know me personally, why didn't they check before spreading false rumours about me? Thirdly, for those who know me personally, didn't they check before spreading rumours? Or did they get carried away by gossip and spread news just for the sake of gossip and publicity? How can they even bring me down further by spreading false rumours?”
Moumita hit back at naysayers and wrote, “For the sake of politeness, I'll just say this: if I see anything inappropriate coming from you all, I'll call it out. You all know I haven't done anything wrong, so I'd appreciate it if you'd come and talk to me directly instead of trying to prove something to me. If you seniors can't handle it, just send a message, and we'll sort it out properly. Why the rush to prove something to me? Please explain this, and then we'll write it down. You all have time.”
She shared, “These seniors killed a person to save another, and even when they were about to kill the surviving one, they were afraid and decided not to,” before adding, “This is my personal opinion.” Moumita clarified that her message is not a suicide threat, but just a clarification from her side.
In the previous interview, Moumita recalled her last call with Rahul. She was aware that he was shooting at the Talsari beach in Odisha. Before going for the shoot, he spoke to her on a video call for roughly 20-25 minutes. After receiving the news of his demise, Pandit was in a state of shock. She also visited the crematorium.
In an interview with AajTak Bangla, Moumita said she was fearing trolls for confessing her love for Rahul publicly after his untimely demise. “Even if I had told this story 5 minutes or 5 hours later, it would have been the same. Even if I had told this story 5 days later, people would have talked about it, and even if I had told this story 5 months later, it would have been the same. Even if I had told this story 5 years later, or even if Rahul was still alive, it would have been the same,” she said.
Refusing to talk more about her relationship with Rahul, Moumita added that when she chose not to be a symbol of ‘sacrifice’, trouble arose.
