Kerala Tourism Urges Apple to Add Sadya Emoji
Kerala Tourism has urged Apple CEO John Ternus to add a Sadya emoji to Apple devices, making the request in response to his first social media post after taking charge of the tech giant. John Ternus assumed the role of Apple CEO on September 1.
Ternus’ first post as Apple CEO was a simple “Hello.” Responding to the post, Kerala Tourism shared a picture of a traditional Kerala Sadya with the caption, “Submitting our petition to add a sadya emoji.” Kerala Sadya, a traditional vegetarian feast, holds a special place in Kerala’s food and cultural heritage.
The post featured an elaborate Sadya served on a banana leaf, highlighting the wide variety of dishes that make up the traditional Kerala feast.
