Hina Khan's FIRST Meeting With Shah Rukh Khan Proves He Is A True Gentleman

Shah Rukh Khan has built a reputation for his performances and stardom, but he is equally loved for the warmth and courtesy he extends to people around him. Hina Khan recently recalled her first interaction with the superstar, from a time when she was still new to the entertainment industry. During a conversation on the POV podcast with Rocky Jaiswal, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla, Hina revealed how a chance encounter with SRK on a flight eventually turned into a memorable moment she continues to cherish.

Hina Khan revealed that she first met Shah Rukh Khan on a flight approximately a year and a half after Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai began. At the time, Hina was still finding her feet in the industry and was understandably nervous about approaching one of Bollywood's biggest stars.

She recalled noticing SRK sitting beside her and initially taking a moment to gather the courage to even look at him properly. When she realised that the actor was asleep, she decided to wait for an opportunity to ask him for a photograph. According to Hina, Shah Rukh eventually woke up when he was served coffee. She greeted him and asked if they could take a picture together. Instead of refusing or brushing her off, the actor assured her that he would pose for a photograph. Hina recalled, "He said, 'Wait, I’ll give you a photo.'"

However, Shah Rukh had his coffee and went back to sleep. Hina assumed that she had lost her opportunity and that the photograph might never happen. The story took an unexpectedly sweet turn after the flight landed. Hina revealed that Shah Rukh remembered his promise and personally called her once they had landed.

He got up, approached her and clicked the photograph with her.

The actress also revealed that they ended up travelling in the same coach afterwards. Shah Rukh reportedly went towards the last seat and slept. Hina added, "He was promoting some film at the time and hadn’t slept for days."

During the same conversation, Abhinav Shukla shared his own first encounter with Shah Rukh Khan. Unlike Hina's chance meeting on a flight, Abhinav met the superstar backstage at a ramp show for a watch brand.

At the time, Abhinav had recently moved to Mumbai from Punjab and was working as a model. He recalled seeing Shah Rukh enter the venue and deciding that he wanted to introduce himself.

Abhinav approached the actor while Shah Rukh was speaking with his manager. According to Abhinav, SRK noticed him, stopped what he was doing, stood up and shook his hand. Recalling the interaction, Abhinav said, "He looked at me, got up, and shook my hand." For Abhinav, that simple gesture said a lot about Shah Rukh's personality. He added, "That defines the character of that man."

The two anecdotes ultimately prove what several people have said before - Shah Rukh is a star who can make even a brief interaction feel special.
