Free Coaching For Govt, Aided Schools
Hyderabad: Seeking to clarify reports regarding the revision of sports coaching fees the Sports Authority of Telangana (SATG) reiterated that its objective is to make sports training accessible to the public and emphasised that free coaching will be given to the students from government and aided schools and meritorious sportspersons representing the districts and above. With the new GO , more than 42% of the students will get free coaching and access to the facilities.
SATG stated that “the coaching fees have been revised after a gap of 14 years, taking into account the increasing expenditure on sports infrastructure, stadium and ground maintenance, sports equipment, coaches remuneration, electricity, security and other operational costs. Also the government wants to impart free coaching to students depending on their economic status, which was not there in the earlier GO.”
A review meeting was held at the Lal Bahadur Stadium by SATG Chairman K. Shiva Sena Reddy and Vice Chairperson & Managing Director Dr A. Sonibala Devi with stadium administrators, coaches and Deputy Directors from across Hyderabad. The proposed committee will examine the issues in detail and submit a report.
