BRS Leaders Seek House Pattas for Kazipet’s YSR Nagar Residents
HANAMKONDA: Legislative Council Opposition Leader Sirikonda Madhusudhana Chary and former government chief whip Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar have demanded that the government issue house-site pattas to eligible families residing in YSR Nagar, Kazipet, and sanction Indiramma houses.
The leaders met the Hanamkonda district collector and urged him to address the problems faced by the residents.
They said nearly 100 families had been living in the colony for several years and had house numbers and electricity bills. They claimed that the previous BRS government had extended welfare schemes and support to the residents.
The BRS leaders alleged that attempts were being made to evict the residents after the Congress government came to power. They also alleged that local Congress leaders were intimidating residents and threatening demolition if they refused to vacate.
They said the colony was home to pregnant women and people with chronic illnesses.
The leaders urged the government to intervene and issue pattas and sanction houses to all eligible families. They said the BRS would launch protests if the issue was not resolved.
