Bhakti Beats Aarya To Emerge LFC Champion

Hyderabad: Bhakti Jayesh emerged winner of the Legacy Fighting Championship (LFC-2), a Mixed Martial Arts event held at the Katedan GHMC Sports Complex in Hyderabad.

In an intense final bout, Maharashtra’s Bhakti defeated Aarya Choudhary of Madhya Pradesh with a 30-27 scoreline. The title round was exciting and lapped up by a capacity crowd who created a vibrant atmosphere at the stadium. Both players matched each other for most part before Bhakti edged ahead.

Telangana Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari, who was the chief guest, presented the prize to the winner. “Winning is not the only measure of success in sports; discipline, determination, perseverance and the fighting spirit are equally important,” he said.

Also present on the occasion was Sports Authority of Telangana chairman K. Shivasena Reddy, who interacted with the participants before witnessing the championship bouts. A total of 22 international fighters competed in the tournament, which featured a series of highly competitive bouts.

Among those who attended the event were Rajendranagar MLA Prakash Goud, National Mixed Martial Arts Association joint secretary Sheikh Khalid, Alpha Global CEO Tayaba Sultana and other representatives from the sporting fraternity.
