97 Ex-Servicemen Provisionally Selected For Jobs Through Placement Drive

HYDERABAD: Nearly 59 per cent of the 165 ex-servicemen who attended a placement drive in Secunderabad were provisionally selected for technical and non-technical jobs. The drive was organised by the Army Welfare Placement Organisation (AWPO), Secunderabad, under the aegis of Headquarters Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA).

A total of 97 candidates were provisionally selected and were completing the documentation process. According to AWPO, the candidates have sought some time to collect and submit the required documents, following which final appointment letters will be issued. Companies including Air India SATS, Muthoot Finance, ICICI, SBI Life and TATA AIA Insurance participated in the drive, with support from the Magic Bus Foundation.

The recruitment exercise was conducted for both technical and non-technical categories and was aimed at helping former service personnel find employment opportunities after completing their military service, officials said. The provisional selections will be confirmed after the candidates complete the required documentation, AWPO said.
