Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan’s friendship is more than three decades old. The two have collaborated on a number of songs and movies. But the filmmaker and choreographer feels it is harder to work with SRK now.
During a recent interview with ETimes, Farah Khan spoke about the friendships she developed in Bollywood, since before her actor friends even became big stars. Among this is one of her dearest friends, Shah Rukh, who she has been friends with since before Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa and Deewana.
Farah fondly recalled their friendship and expressed gratitude for it. However, she admitted that it is quite challenging to work with the superstar now.
“If it was hard working with him then, it is harder now. Every time we work on a song, the pressure doubles because we have created such iconic songs together,” she said.
Interestingly, Farah’s last directorial venture Happy New Year was with SRK in 2014.
During the same interview, she shared that she wanted to take a break from direction after Happy New Year as she could not find anything exciting. She still wants to get back to direction, but only when she finds the right project at the right time.
On Shah Rukh’s work front, he is currently working on his upcoming movie King, which will also star his daughter Suhana Khan, along with Abhishek Bachchan. King was earlier reported to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, but latest reports state that it will be directed by Siddharth Anand, who also directed SRK in the 2023 blockbuster Pathaan.
