Ram Charan’s Game Changer opened in the theatres on January 10. The film crossed Rs 100 crore mark within 5 days of its release. Even with the box office success of Game Changer, director Shankar doesn’t seem to be happy with the film’s output.
In a conversation with Behindwoods TV, Shankar confessed that he wasn’t “completely satisfied” with the final product. The filmmaker said, “This is a common problem with every filmmaker. No matter what you do, you’ll never feel completely satisfied. I feel I could have done better.”
Shankar revealed that the original run time of Game Changer was five hours long. However, due to time constraints, a significant portion of the film had to be cut out in order to give the whole thing a suitable sculpture for cinematic viewing.
“Some good scenes and situations were removed during trimming. The total duration exceeded five hours. It’s like sculpting; if we leave it as it is, it’s just a marble,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan penned a heartfelt note for the fans on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. The actor celebrated Game Changer‘s success and thanked the cast and crew of the film for their unwavering support.
An excerpt from his note read, “This Sankranthi, my heart is filled with gratitude for making all the hard work we put into Game Changer truly worth it. My heartfelt appreciation goes to the entire cast, crew, and everyone behind the scenes who contributed to the film’s success.”
Game Changer marks Ram Charan’s first collaboration with Kiara Advani. The film’s supporting cast includes Samuthirakani, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Sunil, Anjali and Suryah.
